Kooralbyn Chamber tours Ramada Kooralbyn Resort Renovations.
At the invitation of Mark Heinrich, Acquisition and Development Manager of JHC Holdings, Kooralbyn Chamber executive committee toured the Ramada Kooralbyn Valley Resort on Friday 24th October, President John Noonan said the experience was very enlightening in the view that ‘significant’ internal work was certainly progressing at an impressive level.
The complete Western Wing has been gutted, stripped and remodelled from the inside out, from carpet to external doors, roof sails removed for replacement and everything from plumbing to electrical, including AC is underway.
The tour started from inside the impressive kitchens, cold rooms and preparation areas in the bowels of the complex – which is surprisingly vast and spacious, a recent audit Mark said was a ‘thumbs up’ for 72% of existing equipment in a ‘back-of-house’ designed for over three times current accommodation.
Certainly, everything that has been mentioned by Mark Heinrich at Chamber level in his monthly address to members is factual, an estimated $10 million plus is earmarked for stage 1 of the refurbishment of the Resort and the Golf Course, the aim is still to open in February 2016, and although there is an enormous amount of work, and a small army of trades on sight 6 days a week – it is very exciting to see firsthand that it IS definitely happening!
